30年ぶりの川中島

久しぶりに長野
川中島へやって来た。  30年振りだ。長らく登りたいと思っていた「妻女山」に登った。 それどこ？ 武田信玄と上杉謙信が戦った川中島の合戦。 上杉謙信が本陣を構えていた山が「妻女山」。 川中島は二つの川に囲まれた広大な砂州となっている。 この川中島を見下ろすように突き出した山が「妻女山」。 上杉謙信は武田信玄の領地である川中島に進出すると 妻女山に登って距離をとって武田軍とにらみ合うことになる。 キツツキ戦法 上杉、武田両軍の膠着状態が長く続いた。 しびれを切らした武田信玄が動く。 軍を二つに分け一隊に妻女山の後方から夜襲をかけさせ、 追われて川中島に降りてきたところで信玄本隊とで 挟み撃ちにしようとする作戦。 ところが前日の煙の上り具合から 武田軍の動きを察知した上杉謙信は いち早く川中島に降りる。 早朝
厚く垂れ込めた朝霧が晴れると、 上杉本隊と武田本隊（信玄）はあまりにも近づいていた。 いきなり総力戦となる。 武田 上杉の本陣が間近に拮抗する凄まじい戦闘。 半分を夜襲隊に割いている信玄本隊は窮地に。 兵数に劣る信玄は徐々に陣を崩されていく。 万事休すという時に前夜から迂回して、 妻女山へ向かったの武田夜襲隊が謙信の後方に現れた。 上杉軍にとっては逆王手の挟み撃ちとなった。 謙信はこれまでと判断し 一騎果敢に武田本陣に討ち入り 信玄に太刀を浴びせると 兵をまとめ上杉領へと退却していく。 両軍でおびただしい戦死者を出した 有名な合戦である。 川中島の合戦を描いて 映画「天と地と」 1990年 平成2年公開の映画 。 角川映画絶頂期の映画の一つ。 30年前 この映画の封切り公開を川中島にほど近い長野市の映画館に私はわざわざ見に来ていた。 この映画を見て興奮の冷めやらぬうちに 合戦の地 川中島を訪れるという計画。 30年ぶりの川中島。この日 ゆっくりと川中島の合戦地の多くの史跡を訪ねた。頭に長らく描いていた川中島のイメージが何か繋がったように思えた。 国難に殉じた慰霊碑 妻女山の上杉謙信の本陣あとには 川中島の戦いとは別の 真新しい慰霊碑が立っていた。 この周辺の地域で
国に殉じて亡くなった人たちの慰霊碑。  (令和元年に建立）。徳川幕府と官軍の戦争、戊辰戦争(1868年)から 大東亜戦争(1945年)まで、亡くなられた方の名前が町村毎に刻まれていた。 戊辰戦争。西南戦争。日清戦争。日露戦争。シベリア出兵。シベリア蒙古抑留。満州事変。満州居留民。満州開拓青年義勇隊。満州居留警備隊。満州開拓殉難者。日中戦争。大東亜戦争。 歴史の多くは戦争の歴史だ。戦争の合間に文化、経済が繁栄する。 また、戦争でリセットされ、その繰り返しで人類は繁栄してきた。 戦後75年大東亜戦争以来 大きな戦争は起きていない。 核兵器の抑止力もあって、大国間の戦争は起きてはいない。 しかし、昨年からはじまった 民主国家の代表アメリカと 独裁国家の代表
中国の経済戦争。 この結末はどうなるのだろうか？ 平和ボケ国家に住む私。 ボケているのは私だけだろうか？ 妻女山の展望台の上に立って、ふと考えた。 |
